
According to recent research conducted in America, a significant number of small business owners worked full-time jobs while establishing their own firms.
The study surveyed 413 business owners with fewer than 500 employees. The findings revealed that 59% of respondents juggled a full-time job while initially building their businesses.
The reasons behind starting a small business vary across industries. For instance, 53% of marketing and advertising entrepreneurs embarked on their own venture to gain more flexible working hours. On the other hand, 53% of technology business owners started their own firms to pursue their true passions.

When it came to funding, the research indicated that 44% of small business owners received financial support from their families, while 29% relied on self-funding.

One of the most significant challenges faced by 24% of small business owners in starting their firms was acquiring and retaining customers or clients.
